When completing the forms, any query I had as soon as I emailed them they got back to me straight away. Also it would not let you finish the section until you had filled out all that was needed. Helpful that you could save and go back in when you had the answer you needed.
It was all clear and concise instructions. You could leave the site at anytime and all your work is saved so you can go back to where you left off. The only negative I feel is that it doesn’t tell you until the end that you have to pay more money which was abit of a shock so maybe you could just make your applicants aware that it isn’t just £399. Thankyou though still as it only took 3 weeks to get the probate done and to become the administrator of my mums estate.

Yes. The only additional cost is the £526 Probate Registry fee for estates over £5,000, paid directly to HMCTS. That fee applies whichever route you take. No hourly rates, no percentages, no extras.
No. There is no legal requirement to use a solicitor to apply for probate in England and Wales, and thousands of people apply themselves every year. A solicitor does the same paperwork you would, and charges you for it.
If you can get online, you can use the platform. There is nothing to install and the questions are in plain English. There is video guidance throughout showing you exactly what to do, and if you get stuck you can call us and share your platform screen with us so we can see what you see and guide you through it.
Nothing is locked in until you generate your forms, so you can go back and change any answer as many times as you need. And even after they are generated, if you spot a mistake you can delete the forms, make the change and generate them again.
Your completed forms can be ready to submit within hours of registering. HMCTS quote eight to sixteen weeks for a Grant, though most of our customers receive theirs well within eight weeks, and some within a couple of weeks.
Where inheritance tax forms are needed, HMRC usually take around three weeks to review the IHT400. They then issue you a probate code, which you enter into the platform to generate your probate form for HMCTS, who aim to turn it around in a similar period.
You print them, sign them and post them. The platform tells you exactly what to send, where to send it and what to enclose, and there is a video explaining the whole thing. There is nothing left for you to work out.
I’m never one for leaving reviews, but this service genuinely deserves the 5* review I’m giving it. I completed the probate application with my Mum shortly after my Dad’s passing. My Mum had been quoted thousands of £s to do this on her behalf, which I felt was unreasonable. After a quick Google I found this website and suggested it to my Mum. It’s not a nice thing to deal with, particularly at such a difficult time, but I couldn’t recommend this highly enough. It genuinely works and we have just received our letters of administration.

Having used a well known company previously to carry out a probate application and being very dissatisfied as it took 12 months (this was not a complex case) I was determined to apply myself this time around. Mine wasn’t a straight forward case. Following a very friendly informative chat with Tom, I felt confident to try and complete the process for myself.
