What Happens After the Grant of Probate is Issued?

This was money well spent made life so much easier and prevented any time being wasted by not sending all relevant documents and having to re submit.

I had obtained Probate twice before this one so the process was not completely unknown to me. However, since my last effort there have been changes to the process, so I looked for guidance and found YouCanDoProbate and decided to use them and their package. VERY SIMPLE TO FOLLOW

Having spoken to HMRC for advice following the death of my Mum they told me what forms I needed…. the forms were multiple, long and confusing as where the notes to help you fill in the forms !!! This platform just seemed too good to be true which is what I said to Tom when I phoned to enquire . He was very informative and reassuring about how and why it works and reassured me there is constant support during the whole process of completion. I sat with the HMRC forms one more time, gave up again and then I registered on the platform which took minutes , paid my £499 and I never looked back . It really does all the work for you and yes on the couple of occasions I did need guidance Tom was there calling me back after logging a support call within half an hour . Completed the platform …. Probate forms then all printed off from the information you have already input and then just a trip to the post office to post and then peace of mind !! Now I’m just waiting for it to be processed by the Probate office .

If you want your Probate to come through quickly and efficiently then I cannot recommend this company more highly. We had an appointment with a Solicitor for 5th March 2025 and at a cost of £1,503 and was told it would take 12 weeks or more. I searched the internet for an online Probate Company and came across YouCanDoProbate. Looked at the reviews and saw that someone had put that you don’t pay only the £399 fee – they said there were hidden costs. So read through everything and noted that you also have to send a cheque for £300 for the Courts to gain the Probate. I did phone them to make sure there were no other costs involved and was told that no this was everything charged – no “hidden” costs at all. So on 19th February I sent off all the paperwork together with the cheque for the Courts. Just over a week later I received an email from Gov.uk to say they were dealing with the probate and that it could take up to 12 weeks. A couple of days later I received an email to say Probate had been granted and I would receive it within 10 days – on 5th March the Probate arrived through the post. So it only took 2 weeks from beginning to end. I would recommend this website and if you have any questions they are more than helpful. I don’t know why Solicitors charge such outrageous fees – this was half what was quoted and we had the Probate in our hands before the actual appointment with the Solicitor. I cannot thank you enough for making what is a really difficult time in any families life a straightforward and easy application.

Both the site and the You Can Probate team have been awesome and helpful. It has made this process much easier to understand and without the need to pay over the top for a solicitor.
