When the solicitors quoted me £9,000 I decided to look for help elsewhere. I’m so glad I did as this company was brilliant and was a great help when I called them when I got a bit stuck with a question. Definitely highly recommend and this saved me a great deal of money.!

The YouCanDoProbate system is very cost effective, comprehensive and relatively easy to use. Most of the steps through filling in the inheritance tax forms and the probate application are straightforward. Any queries can be raised and are quickly and professionally dealt with. So glad I chose this route as opposed to using a solicitor.

My experience of using the YouCanDoProbate programme has been good and certainly it is a well put together one. Firstly it specified the information which would be required by the Probate Office so that I could save time when using the programme. It then went on with what is basically a copy of the Government sheets so that the information could be added. Adding the information required was not as easy as it would seem.This was not a fault of the programme, but rather the way the person who had designed the sheets for the Government had expressed their requirements. On several occasions I was a bit stuck and and sent a message to YCDP requesting assistance. I found that they could not have been more helpful and I would like to thank both Adam and Tom for their assistance. They both answered my queries and made it clear that they would spent as much time as was necessary in doing so, very much a PLUS point in this day and age where many companies cannot get away fast enough. They would contact me either by phone or email, whichever I preferred. Another thing that I particularly liked was that the programme would not allow me to tick the box as finished in error, until each section it was complete. By doing so it meant that the Probate office should not have to return it as incomplete. The current programme is designed to cater for a maximum nett figure of £325,000 before Inheritance tax is payable. There are circumstances where there is only one son or daughter who will inherit and the Government will allow up to a nett figure of £500,000 before Inheritance Tax is due, and I was informed that they are working on an amendment to the programme to allow for this. I can fully recommend this programme which is considerably cheaper than putting it in the hands of a Probate Specialist.

Fantastic service. Extremely clearly laid out, very intuitive and lots of online help. I used the contact twice: once promptly answered via email, the second via a booked appt – again very polite and incredibly helpful. I took my time over entering and double-checking details but, from beginning to end (IHT done and probate in hand) took 10 weeks including turnaround time for documents. Great value for money and strongly recommended.

The form was quite easy to follow. But the support from the staff was fantastic and very helpful.

I wanted to have a go at doing probate myself but did not have the confidence to go it alone. This platform was the perfect compromise and saved us thousands in Solicitors fees. You Can Do Probate handled this with ease. After using the platform to generate the first set of estate summary forms for HMRC I received confirmation from them within 11 days of posting. I then printed and submitted the probate forms to HM Courts. It took 9 days to receive an approval email and the Certificate of Probate arrived in the post the next day. So from start to finish – 20 working days. We were shocked at the speed! I would highly recommend You Can Do Probate. Absolutely worth the purchase fee. Thank you for making a really difficult time a little easier to navigate.

The whole process was very straight forward.

This is an excellent service which is very good value for money and lives up to its name – yes, you can do probate yourself if you use this platform. In particular, being able to call up and put your questions to an expert, without having to worry about increasing the cost, is a godsend and I wouldn’t have managed without it (thank you Tom!). The process is still time consuming and it isn’t easy, but this service makes it possible and way more affordable than using a solicitor.

So, so easy. I wish I had found sooner as I put off doing probate thinking it would be bad but it was fine. I got a bit stuck and had a quick call and then all went through smoothly. Thank you, I would definitely recommend to all.
